Finding your first piece and latex care.

Start off with some local Etsy sellers that are themselves starting out their latex crafting. You may be able to get pieces on the cheap from those maker sand it helps them continue their craft. That being said price comes with quality. From there I would move on to Libidex. They have daily deals on individual items and seasonal sales that are hard to beat for the variety and quality.
As for care. I would get some gallon freezer bags for small items like gloves, stockings, small skirts or shorts. Then for longer pieces like dresses and catsuits, get garment bags. If you can find opaque ones that keep the light out then go with those, otherwise find a closet or wardrobe that can be closed. Keep your latex away from light. When cleaning, use a dish washing liquid that does not contain any dyes or scents. Put your latex into lukewarm water with some of the dish detergent and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then take drain the water and rinse in clear water. Drain once more then add a squeeze of dressing aid to the clear water and mix it around with your clothing. Then slowly pull the latex out and hang to dry. The dressing aid will help preserve and protect your latex.
Keep your latex away from any metal that is not stainless steel. Brass, or other copper containing metals can discolor your latex.
If a garment feels like it stretches too much or feels to tight in a spot then do not wear it as it will probably break.
DO NOT start with a catsuit. Save your money and work up to getting a custom fit catsuit. You will thank yourself when you have a catsuit that fits your just right and shows off your body in a flattering way.
